February Bird of the Month Club
10% of proceeds will be donated to WIRES wildlife rescue to help Australia.
I have always loved birds. Their feathers are so pretty. Every species has their own unique colors and traits. And birds can fly. I just thought it would be so neat to be able to escape to the quiet of the sky and just be free for a little while.
For February I am using this cute little Australasian Wren as inspiration. I am excited about this yarn club as it will give me a reason to learn about birds from all over the world.
This bird can be found in Australia and New Guinea. I want to donate to help out WIREs Wildlife rescue to offer some support for Australia with all the destruction they have faced with the fires.
The color is a mystery to me as well but it will be variegated and contain some or all of the colors of the bird's feather in the image. There might be some speckles.
Yarn bases I offer:
*Clover - Fingering Weight
85% super wash merino/15% nylon
*Honeysuckle DK weight
80% super wash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon
*Orchard - Worsted Weight
100% superwash merino
All of the above bases contain extra fine merino (19.5 micron). The bases are all super soft and great for many different projects. The yarns are worsted spun for extra durability. The supplier I use sources wool from places where there is no harm to animals or environment.
